Made in collaboration with multi award-winning animation studio, Suzo, Garden Gab is a quirky and uplifting animated short that follows a range of fruits and vegetables pondering one of life's biggest conundrums.
Presented in a mockumentary style inspired by Aardman's Creature Comforts, the short invites us to see life through the eyes of a cast of perishable characters - each with a fleeting existence - who navigate the question: "What would you say to someone who's unsure of their place in the world?"
Each character shares a genuine, unscripted reflection - all voiced by real people - poking fun at the timeless 'you are what you eat' adage while also highlighting the transient nature of these characters. In a strangely motivational way, Garden Gab suggests that if something as ephemeral as a piece of fruit or a vegetable can offer wise and heartfelt advice while embracing its fleeting existence, then perhaps we too can find happiness and our own place in this ever-changing world.
Garden Gab was officially selected and screened at the 2024 Roughcut 60 Second Film Festival in 2024.
