Melodic Mementos is a design project where I asked a group of friends to share 15 songs that mean something to them. The songs could be from any genre and hold any kind of significance, with each friend free to explain why they picked their tracks. Once I received their lists, I created a custom album cover for each person, using their song choices as inspiration.
The project is about linking music and visual design in a personal way. By creating a new album cover for each friend, I aimed to capture a bit of their personality and the memories attached to their favourite songs. The whole idea was to turn a collection of music into something visual that the person could keep as a reminder of their musical tastes and personal history.
Also...they worked great as Christmas cards.
